“Crystal Clear Forever” Finished!

I kept the distant North Rim somewhat vague creating greater distance and bringing focus on the subject formation.  Although a little tough to see in this photo, I was able to get some nice reflected light on those shadowed layers.  The rule, however, is “a little’s OK; enough is too much”.  Don’t put that special light everywhere; just a few places, enough to invite a quizical eye to explore those shadows.

And a word about that title.  Sometimes the toughest part of a painting is finding out its name.  A group of visitors stopped by and asked me if the Canyon was always this hazy.  I replied, that it actually was quite clear…crystal clear!  And there was the title!
